Sales Comparison: Canon Isn’t Keeping Up RF Lens Supply

Japanese camera trade publication CAPA published a top-10 ranking of mirrorless lens sales for the first half of October, and noted that Canon failed to keep supply up to demand levels. Canon positions on the list lowered due to a lack of supply (in Japanese). Where customers complained loudly about long waits for R5 and R6 body delivery, publications have covered lens shortages less.

The RF 20-105mm f/4 L lens was lowered in rankings due to being backordered. Capa indicated that it appeared “RF lenses are not catching up with orders.”
