Fuji added to its XF collection with an 18mm f/1.4, a crop lens that gives the field of view of a 27mm lens in full frame equivalent.

There’s a lot of elements in this piece, making it about the same as the recently released Sigma 35mm f/2, a lens with about the same field of view and the equivalent aperture when measured by number of photons hitting each pixel, although those types of comparisons are always controversial. Point is, Fuji is testing the limits of its unique selling proposition of providing very high quality image quality relative to its size and weight.
