CanonRumors reports that there might be more than one f/1.2 35mm lens coming to the Canon RF lens lineup, the additional one being one of the Defocus Smoothing (DS) variants. The DS lens designs and – especially – coatings sacrifice light transmission (1 and 1/3 stop at maximum aperture) for smoother bokeh. For the purposes of low light shooting, this makes the lens an expensive f2, but with fuzzy bokeh balls.
