Ninja V Allows 5.9K Raw for S5

Increasingly, as more and more compact bodies are equipped with chips allowing high resolution video, Atomos’s Ninja V external recorder is factoring into those manufacturer’s plans, taking the heat budget outside the camera body and allowing cine-level video quality to spew from tiny, weather-sealed bodies.

Such is the case with the announcement that Atomos’s new firmware release will allow the Panasonic Lumix S5 to record ProRes RAW files at 5.9K resolution.
