PANASONIC SLATHERS FIRMWARE GOODNESS ON MORE BODIES

Nov 4, 2020 | Bodies, L-Mount, News, Software

On November 24, Panasonic is set to release a bunch of firmware upgrades for the S1H, S1R and S1, gathering a bunch of improvements already seen in the recently-released S5 and making them available to the older bodies.

The S1R will get 10-bit HLG capture; 4:2:2 10-bit output of 50p; and the ability to output 60p 4k video through the HDMI port. There’s an alphabet soup of additional gains that differ between the bodies.
