Sony Revs Software Hooks into Cameras, Now for Mac Too

Dec 9, 2020 | News, Software, Sony, Wildlife

Sony revised its software development kit (SDK), which allows users to control most features of the camera through a computer. The new version 1.03.00 now supports multiple cameras and works off of a Mac in addition to a PC.

The software supports industrial and commercial applications, but is also exploited by geakier photographers who need unusual levels of control for obscure applications like remote wildlife shooting.

The software supports the A7C, A7S3, A7R4 and the A9 II.
