Sony spruced up the outside bits of the A9 a couple years ago and gave it a Mark II label, but rumors are afoot of a real upgrade, including a new, higher-resolution sensor and video capabilities rivaling Canon’s R5.
The reports indicate that the price will be higher than the oddly-reasonable A9 II pricing, coming in around $5,000. Typically rumor reports of new cameras are most inaccurate around pricing.
Sony will have a webinar at 10 a.m. ET next Tuesday. These events typically feature Sony Japan executives running through a presentation and then introducing canned videos of photographers enjoying the use of the new product.
