Canon Says It’ll Sell 2.9M Cameras in ’21

Calling the market bottom as having passed a couple quarters ago, Canon sold seven percent more cameras in this past quarter versus the year prior – the first positive change in many quarters – and anticipates selling 5 percent more cameras for the entire year by the end of 2021, which will bring in 11 percent more revenue.

The company’s presentation to analysts mentioned the coming R3 camera and the success of the already-released RF mount gear, but ignored the EF mount system and the M mount system entirely.

Its R3 camera featured prominently in company financial graphics.
