R3 Makes G7 Appearance B4 Release

Canon UK press executive Jakki Moores tweeted an image of the R3 on a beach in England at the G7 conference. The image appears real, with the camera paired with the RF 35mm f/1.8 macro.

If non-Japanese press offices are getting copies of the camera to adorn poorly-formed sandcastles, then a release must be imminent. Another photographer in England commented on seeing the R3 on the same day (Saturday), so it wasn’t just being used for strengthening sand ramparts.
