Tamron’s new 18-300mm Variable Zoom To Cost 10% More

The Japanese price of the about-to-be-released on September 14 Tamron 18-300 f/3.5-6.3 will be the equivalent of $750. In the US it will cost $699.

This compares to the DSLR equivalent (Tamron’s 16-300) that costs $629 at most online retailers.

This kit-level superzoom category has proven popular in the past few years, with the quality quite a bit better than those superzooms produced prior to Tamron and Sigma’s move to higher-end glass.
