Fotodiox Launching an EF-RF Adapter with ND Filter

Fotodiox released to the Japanese market a Canon EF mount to RF mount adapter – reportedly with full electronic connection, including autofocus, image stabilization and EXIF data reporting. The adapter costs 38,500 yen, which is around $350. Interestingly, it comes with a variable ND filter, much like Canon’s own filter-equipped adapter. DC Watch (Japanese) reports that, as is true with many variable ND filters, some false colors can be introduced under certain conditions, and that may vary with different lenses used.

The light-blocking filter ranges from ND4 to ND256. The adapter includes a tripod mount, which is a significant improvement over Canon’s $400 equivalent.
