Nikon Rumors reports that Nikon will launch a Mark II version of its Z mount adapter, allowing legacy Nikon shooters to use their older glass on the new, mirrorless Z mount systems.

The old adapter suffered from a lump on the bottom of the adapter that caused issues with mounting cameras on tripods, underwater housings and pretty much any other application that didn’t involve holding the camera in human hands.
There aren’t many details, so this could be more than a simple form factor change.
