A German executive from the camera company formerly known as Olympus, now OM Digital, dished (via 43Rumors.com) on a few product pipeline details.
The coming 40-150mm f/4 zoom that is to pass as a pro telephoto in Micro Four Thirds (MFT) mount world won’t take teleconverters. That will give the lens an equivalent focal length of 300mm due to the crop factor of the MFT sensor.
The macro lens that appeared on the OM Digital roadmap will be a prime. Previously, the fudginess of the roadmap seemed to indicate it might be a zoom with a wide range.
The 20mm f/1.4 will be small – about as small as a kit lens, which isn’t terribly surprising given the small image circle the MFT lenses need to cover.
