The Nikon Z9 flagship will rumoredly show up in quite limited numbers tomorrow. The 8K, 45 megapixel, 20 FPS will be only one of two full frame flagship cameras with both modern resolution capacity and modern frame rate capacity. It will be compared directly to the Sony A1, which shares a similar resolution, and inevitably to the Canon R3, which punted on a significant resolution increase and will release a month later.
Nikon-shooting pros will have to rely on their old F mount glass, as the Z m0unt mirrorless system remain far behind the competitors in terms of pro-level glass options.
Continuing this trend, the Z9 is expected, according to Nokishita, to launch with a couple zoom lenses of f/4 or thinner apertures. The new lenses will be the a 14-120mm f/4 and a 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6.
