R5c Anticipated This Wednesday

CanonRumors.com indicated, and now Canon UK unintentionally confirmed, that Canon will release a cine version of the R5 next week. On Wednesday, we expect the R5c to bow, including active cooling, no video time limits, and several additional video-oriented features.

Those features may include Canon Log3, timecode capabilities, a full-sized HDMI port, but probably no integrated neutral density filter.

Note that the picture at left differs from our R5 stock photo in that it does not show flames coming out of the memory card ports. (Active cooling).

CanonRumors also reports that some cine lens goodies will be thrown in at the announcement.

No word yet on likely availability, although it may prove that the similarity to the original R5 could allow Canon to suffer fewer new component delays.
